South Bloomingville

Stay at the Heart of Hocking Hills

Search Availability ↓

South Bloomingville is ground zero for Hocking Hills. The densest concentration of rental cabins in the region sits here — minutes from Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, and Cedar Falls. This is where most visitors stay, and for good reason.

Old Man's Cave

Ohio's most visited trail — 0.5 miles of gorge, waterfalls, and the Devil's Bathtub. Trailhead parking fills by 8 AM on weekends.

Ash Cave

The largest recess cave east of the Mississippi at ~700 feet wide. Fully paved, wheelchair-accessible trail to the cave floor.

Cedar Falls

Where Queer Creek drops 50 feet over Black Hand sandstone. A moderate 0.75-mile round trip from the parking area.

Conkle's Hollow

One of Ohio's deepest gorges with 200-foot cliffs. The rim trail offers the best panoramic views in the region.

Local Tip

Book well in advance for fall foliage weekends (mid-October) and holiday weekends — 3-night minimums are standard. Weekday rates run 40–75% less than weekends.
